The Friends of Dr South’s organises many events and fundraisers for parents, carers, and the local community each year to raise much-needed funds for the school. Event dates are advertised in the Annual Planner linked below, and are also promoted in class WhatsApp groups and the School Newsletter.

FODS committee meetings are typically held once per half term during the school year at the Lin Cooper Practical Skills Building at the school or virtually via Teams. Occasionally, additional meetings will be held to plan particular events or fundraisers.
We promote meetings via the school newsletter and Class Rep channels.
Agenda items are typically circulated a week in advance for input for those who cannot attend. We aim to circulate minutes within two weeks following the meeting.
All parents and carers are welcome. We plan events, discuss fundraising ideas, and review funding requests from the school.
Our Annual General Meeting is usually held in early or mid-June.
